Welcome to our organization

Our mission is to provide housing for the recovering mentally ill and is a ministry of the Bluebonnet Area of the Christian Church.

The dream for transitional housing for the mentally ill began in the halls of the Austin Churches in 1984.

1986 was the year that the dream was within reach with the opening of Harbor House in Austin, Texas.

2002 saw a new facility of 17 duplexes in partnership with Inman Christian Center at Bud O’Keefe Village open.

                     

Current Housing

Harbor House is a group home for 9 residents. The house is rented to the Austin Regional Mental Heath Agency. MHMRA manages the selection of residents selection and provides support services. DOMI manages the property maintenance and furnishing.

Opened in 2002. Partnership with Inman Christian Center With Financing from HUD and the support of Area Churches and families.
